Her novels written under the name L. D. Colter explore contemporary and dark fantasy, and ones written as L. Deni Colter venture into epic fantasy realms. She has multiple short story publications in magazines and anthologies and was a 2014 Writers of the Future winner and 2020 WSFA Small Press Award finalist. Her debut novel “A Borrowed Hell” was the winner of the 2018 Colorado Book Award for Science Fiction/Fantasy and While Gods Sleep was the 2019 winner.
